MEWPS, Inc. is owned and operated by Rick Staples whose work experience in the construction industry began at a young age, he began operating equipment in 1986, and started training other operators and workers in 2008.

After the New York City tower crane collapse that killed nine in 2008, Rick was hired to inspect more than 400 cranes and design an inspection program, and train city inspectors.
Post completion of this job, Rick launched the Educated Operator and has trained thousands of workers in the classroom and with his online system.
